HydraFacial: A Great Way to Hydrate and Refresh the Skin

A HydraFacial is a facial rejuvenation that exfoliates, detoxifies, hydrates and extracts in just one treatment. This treatment will work well for all skin types such as sensitive, normal, and oily. The treatment helps with wrinkles, fine lines, hyper pigmentation, and the size of the pores. The HydraFacial is a handheld devices capable of using four different tips and a variety of skin care solutions including antioxidants, exfoliants and hydrating serums such as hyaluronic acid to achieve the desired results. The tips are spiral in design so they can be used with HydraFacial vacuum technology. This technology creates a vortex designed to easily remove and dislodge impurities while infusing the skin with antioxidants, hydrating, and exfoliating.

The Four Steps

A HydraFacial consists of four steps. The first is the manual cleansing performed by the esthetician. Activ4 is used for the VortexFusion treatment that follows. This combines the antioxidant-rich algae of the glucosamine HCI and the exfoliating lactic acid to condition and soften the skin. The second step is a deeper exfoliation. There are two different tips with the difference being the level of aggressiveness. These tips provide one of three levels of glycolic acid. These are 7.5, 15 or 30 percent. This is combined with either 1.5 or two percent of salicylic acid. The tip provides the physical exfoliation and the peels the chemical exfoliation to give a good result fast. The tingling and waiting for a traditional peel are eliminated.

The third step is the extraction and this uses Beta-HD and a different tip. Salicylic acid is used to soften the sebum, open the pores and suck away the blackheads. Spirea Ulmaria flower extract and honey extract are used simultaneously to soothe and calm. The final step is the serums. Now that the skin has been exfoliated, extracted and cleansed, it is ready to be infused with antioxidants including green tea extracts, horse chestnut seed, zinc, magnesium, copper and hyaluronic acid. This will attract water and help keep the skin plump and hydrated. Antiox is a proprietary blend containing arnica flower extract to soothe and calm the skin. The skin is then brightened with red algae extract.

The Add-Ons

Prior to the HydraFacial, mechanical lymphatic drainage is available. This removes the lymph fluid to remove toxins from the system and reduce puffiness. An anti-aging peptide serum can also be added to enhance the elasticity of the skin and help smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. Once the process has been completed, an LED treatment can also be used. The red LED will stimulate the turnover of the cells and sooth the skin. The blue LED treatment is for acne related issues and kills bacteria. This treatment is excellent for anyone interested having a hydrated and refreshed look. A HydraFacial is extremely beneficial for acne because it does not use pressure that can disturb the skin. The combination of the peels and antioxidants make this a good treatment for anti-aging as well.
