To help ensure the best surgical outcome and a smooth recovery:
• Stop smoking and avoid nicotine products at least 2 weeks before surgery, as they can delay healing.
• Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo, etc.) for at least 7–10 days before your procedure (unless prescribed by your physician).
• Arrange for a trusted friend or family member to drive you home and assist you during the first 24–48 hours.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing on the day of surgery (a dress or loose pants are ideal).
• Maintain good hygiene before your procedure, but avoid shaving or waxing the surgical area within 48 hours of surgery to prevent irritation.
•Stock up on soft pads, loose cotton underwear, and mild unscented soap for aftercare.
