Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormone Replacement Therapy

WOMEN
Women Pre care:
• We require all hormone replacement therapy appointments to have a 1-time consultation.
• We will go over your symptoms, and order full hormone panel lab work. • Once labs are back we will have you come in for a pellet insertion with a lab review.

Women Post Care:

• Your insertion site is covered with two layers of bandages. You can remove the outer bandage in 2-3 days. • The inner band aids should be removed in 5-7 days.
• We recommend putting an ice pack on the insertion area a couple of times per day for about 20 minutes if needed. • No baths, hot tubs, swimming pools for 3 days. You may shower, but do not scrub the incision site until well healed (7 days)
• No exercise for 3 days- including but not limited to running, elliptical, squats, or lunges. • Your injection site may be swollen for 1-3 days • If the site is itchy or redness occurs you can take Benadryl at night time if needed.
• You may experience bruising, swelling and/or redness which could last from a few days to a few weeks. • You may notice some pinkish or bloody discoloration of the outer bandage. This is normal • If you experience bleeding from the incision site- Please call our office. • If you experience pus coming from the insertion site- Please call our office.
