HALO

Pre-Treatment Instructions:
To ensure the best results and safest experience, please follow these guidelines before your Halo treatment:
•  Avoid sun exposure and tanning (natural or artificial) for at least 2 weeks before your appointment.
• Discontinue retinol or active skincare products (like glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and vitamin C serums) for 3–5 days prior. • No waxing or chemical peels on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks beforehand. • Arrive with clean skin – no makeup, lotions, or SPF on the treatment area. • Inform your provider if you’ve had any recent cold sores, infections, or facial procedures. • Hydrate well in the days leading up to your appointment for optimal healing.

Post- Treatment Instructions:
Proper aftercare is essential for healing and to achieve the best possible results from your Halo treatment. Here’s what to expect and how to care for your skin after the procedure. We recommend the Alastin Post Procedure Kit which is safely formulated for a procedure like Halo.
Immediately After Treatment (Day 1–2): Your skin may feel warm, tight, and appear red—similar to a sunburn. This is normal and expected.
Swelling, especially around the eyes, may occur and typically subsides within 48–72 hours.A bronzed or rough texture (called MENDS) will develop as your skin begins the renewal process.
Peeling & Shedding (Days 3–5): Your skin will begin to flake and peel as new, healthy skin emerges. Most patients are fully healed and glowing by Day 5–7.

Do’s:
• Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water to support the healing process.
• Apply only recommended post-care products provided by your provider (usually gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and soothing barrier cream). • Use cold compresses to reduce discomfort or swelling as needed.
• Sleep with your head elevated the first 1–2 nights to minimize swelling.

Don’ts:

• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks post-treatment. Always wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ when outdoors. • Do not pick, scrub, or exfoliate the treated area. Let the skin naturally shed.
• Avoid makeup until peeling is complete or unless your provider advises it’s safe. • No strenuous workouts, saunas, or hot tubs for 24–48 hours post-treatment to avoid irritation.
