Am I a Candidate For RADIESSE?

If you are concerned about deep facial lines, have relatively healthy skin, or want to take a positive step to improve your appearance, you are likely a good candidate for RADIESSE®. RADIESSE® is a dermal filler that has gained popularity in the cosmetic community. The results it produces are almost instantaneous and can last for up to two years.

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

Dermal fillers work by adding volume to areas underneath your skin that have lost volume as a result of age, sickness, gravity, and other circumstances. Dermal fillers do not affect the way your muscles work but, instead, are designed to impact the inner layers of your skin.

RADIESSE® is unique in that the dermal filler is comprised of microscopic spheres that are calcium-based. These spheres are inside a water-based gel. What makes RADIESSE® so beneficial is that it is comprised of components that are already found in the human body. This means that the chances of you having an allergic reaction are little to none.

RADIESSE® injections are placed underneath the skin in the areas that need treatment. Your body reacts by producing the proteins that are needed for healthy skin, including collagen. In just a few days, you may notice that your skin has become more firm and that wrinkles start to fade away.

What Conditions Can RADIESSE® Treat?

The FDA has approved RADIESSE® to treat cosmetic issues in the face and in other parts of the body. It can improve smile lines, make chin wrinkles disappear, and add volume to sunken cheeks. This treatment is a minimally invasive and produces results that are close to what you might expect from some more invasive treatments.

Am I a Good Candidate?

A good candidate for RADIESSE® is going to be a healthy inpidual between the ages of 30 and 60. You should be free of skin conditions and health conditions that would increase your chance of infection or increase your chance of excessive bleeding.

A good candidate will have a realistic idea of what RADIESSE® can do for them as well as what the treatment cannot do. A good candidate will take the time to learn as much as they can about the treatment prior to it being done.

During your initial consultation with us, we will sit down and discuss some of the particulars of this treatment as well as examine your health, your cosmetic concerns, and your cosmetic goals to determine if this is the appropriate treatment for you.
